Deadline for submissions: February 15, 2016
Notification of acceptance: March 15, 2016
Registration opening: 15 March 2016
All submissions must be sent electronically via the online submission system.
Participants are invited to submit the following types of contributions for the symposium:
Abstracts of up to 500 words, describing original research may be submitted for international peer review. Abstracts should be written in English and provided as a Word file using this template. A selection of high-quality submissions will be accepted for presentation at the conference and included in a booklet of abstracts, handed out during the event.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be given the possibility to also submit their final full paper version not later than December 15, 2016. These papers must adhere to the Author Instructions and will pass through an additional reviewing process. As with previous symposia the proceedings of the Dubrovnik Symposium will be published by Springer (Heidelberg / Amsterdam / New York) in the ICA series “History of Cartography”. Due to a restriction on the total number of pages, there is a possibility that not all papers submitted will be published. The decision as to which papers will be published will rest with the Editors whose decision will be final.
The organizers would also like to offer the possibility to present research findings or projects as a poster. Poster title and a short description should be provided.
